Huang Ye (abandoned wild) white tea grown on 'Xiban Shan' in the Mengku area (勐庫西半山), Yunnan Province, China. Produced from "Da Ye Zhong" (Large Leaf Varietal 大葉種) Assamica leaves harvested from "Gu Shu" (ancient trees), estimated to be 100–300 years old. These trees were abandoned for decades, left unpicked and unmaintained until recently.
Grown at an elevation of 1,800–2,000 meters, the tea was harvested in late March 2025 and naturally dried indoor/outdoor without the use of mechanical dryers.
Excellent, naturally grown raw material, free from pesticides and fertilizers, with almost no human intervention. It features a sweet, fruity and grainy profile with hints of umami. This tea was selected to open the festive 10th "Double Feature" edition of our Blind Tasting Club in Autumn 2025.
Suitable for all levels of drinkers and perfect for year-round drinking, particularly in the first half of the day.
